The Eternal City of Rome is undeniably one of the most captivating and beautiful places in the world. From the ancient Romans who snatched their kingdom back from Etruscan overlords to the modern Italian capital today; from the mythological, Demi-god founders of the city through medieval times and the great renaissance; and from the pagan and brutal Roman Empire to the center of Christianity in the world today, Rome is a city to be lived, drunk and taken up into the soul.
Proceeding from ancient Rome into medieval and renaissance Rome, our tour passes through Piazza Venezia and into what was once called the Field of Mars - the flat land surrounded by the iconic seven hills, once swampland drained by ingenious Roman engineers.
We’ll visit the Trevi Fountain and make a wish; we’ll enter the Pantheon - the best preserved pagan temple in the world thanks to its conversion into a Christian church in the early seventh century. We’ll visit Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. And when it all comes to an end, we’ll sit down together and eat gelato.
Now that, is Rome by night.
