Buca Lapi

Founded in 1880, Buca Lapi is one of the oldest restaurants in Florence, and in its early beginnings, was known for the go-to place for wine since the 15th century. This beautiful restaurant is situated in Palazzo Antinori, named after the Antinori family of wine merchants, and is one of the most magnificent examples of Renaissance architecture in the city.

Coco Lezzone

Opened by the Paoli brothers in 1970, Coco Lezzone is a typically Florentine trattoria style restaurant which prides itself on authenticity, and good food of course. You will always find locals dining here, and expect to find traditional Florentine food, with no bells and whistles, done superbly well.

Trattoria dall'Oste

Another great place to eat Bistecca alla Fiorentina, as Trattoria dall'Oste  pride their selves on using certified Chianineria, and the best quality meat from around the world. Opened in 1979, Trattoria dall'Oste have always focused on quality, professionalism and a speedy service, but be prepared to wait in line to be seated!

Trattoria Mario

Trattoria Mario was established in 1953, and is another typical Florentine trattoria, and unusually, only open during lunch time. The wonderful thing about this eatery is that their menu changes daily, so you may wish to visit this place more than once.

Buca Mario

Buca Mario is an ancient restaurant that was opened in 1886. Due to its high reputation, be prepared to book in advance, and pay a premium for their superior food, quality and service. Despite often being fully booked, the service they provide is phenomenal.
